At the beginning of July we went on the first available commercial boat trip along the Tay from the Fergusson Pontoon to Willowgate. The power of the River was much more evident when on the water and we had some new views of the Friarton Bridge.

Last month I visited Seville. It was hot and vibrant, stylish and chaotic. Many characterful shop fronts caught my eye.
At the beginning of May I had a wonderful music holiday in Prague, both playing in a concert of Dvorak’s Wind Serenade to a large and enthusiastic local audience and attending 3 concerts of the Prague spring festival. We also visited the countryside where Dvorak spent much of his time.
I visited the Ardnamurchan Peninsula in the second week of January and although it was windy, it was mild. There were some very green fields as well as stormy skies and squalls.
This September we visited the mountainous Greek island of Karpathos.  As it is largely unspoilt by modern development we felt we had been somewhere different. This is my most memorable image – a remote chapel on the road to Avlona with the town of Olymbos on the mountain behind.
