We always like to go and walk in the mountains around Braemar when the heather is in bloom. Being surrounded by purple, green and the scent of the blooms is an unusual experience.

August was a month of golden fields, purple heather, flowers, seeds and fruits, blue sky and sun. It was also often wet with clouds and mist forming on the land.
