At the beginning of July we went on the first available commercial boat trip along the Tay from the Fergusson Pontoon to Willowgate. The power of the River was much more evident when on the water and we had some new views of the Friarton Bridge.

At the end of February I went to see the spring flowers in Braco Castle Gardens, participants in this year’s snowdrop festival. The flowers were nice, as were the stylish bare trees, but a lively red squirrel stole the show!
Santa visited Dunkeld on 10th December on a wooden sledge pulled by reindeer. I wonder what they thought of the proceedings!
There was a clear, cool night for the annual Perth and Strathearn Round Table firework display. As ever it was spectacular, and the free hot chocolate was much appreciated in the bitter north wind.
We enjoyed the Twilight Illuminations at Scone Palace complete with the Spirits of Scone. It was too colourful to be really scary but there was a ranting headless ghost!
